Such a goofball!!!♥️

June 26th

Hey Mom!
Glad to hear that your week at Girls Camp went well! Favorite year, that's a big claim! I'm also a fan of the ladybugs prank, harmless, but probably surprised quite a few people.  Also to know why the girls at camp "enjoyed" my pictures, besides the obvious fact that I'm usually wearing some awesome pants.
Man, it's crazy that it's already time for JOs! I hope everything goes well. The boys will do fine, especially since I heard we got snubbed from Open. Club will be good for us, and if we can play level, I'm sure we'll scrap a medal.
I also thought it was pretty crazy that I get to serve with Elder Park again! We get along really well, everyone tells us we are like the same person. So super awesome, basically. But yeah, Kato has been pretty busy lately. I've had more meetings in the last month than I've probably had in my entire mission so far. Which still isn't a ton, and there's room for improvement, but it'll do for now:)
The new Mission President will take the field on the 1st, and we'll be having our first interviews with him on the 7th. I'm pretty excited! I hope he helps us out with his Polish, but we're all looking to see what kind of changes he'll bring. Also pretty sad that President Edgren leaves soon. I just wrote my last letter to him, it was a little bit of a bummer. But that's a mission, people go home!
Summer in Poland isn't muggy. It's muggy. I'd say we're hanging in at around 85-90 every day, but it's so humid we're always super sweaty. Whenever we go in for lunch and dinner, we take a cold shower and change. We're washing clothes so often now it's crazy. We had a sports Saturday with some nonmembers last week (basically played soccer with a bunch of Europeans), and we were dying. But also, it was awesome, and it's better than cold, so I can't complain.
Yeah, I heard about Blake, we're in contact. He told me there was no way he was going to wait the whole 6 weeks, and wants to get out as soon as possible. I can't blame him, being home would be weird. I know all the guys are praying for him though.
It's crazy that Spencer and the guys are heading out so soon! It'll be right around my year mark when they all get to the MTC! They'll be telling me how hard Spanish is, and I'll send them a picture of a burning shirt haha! Exciting stuff.
Poland won! PKs too, so everyone here was going crazy. I've got an English student who said he'd get baptized if we win the whole thing haha. We'll probably make sure he has a testimony first, but I'm going to hold him to that.
Thanks for the prayers! Hope you all have a good week too, and I'm glad you got the picture from that return missionary!
Love you Mom!

Is that a hedgehog??

June 22

Hey Mom!
Sounds like you guys are still real busy back home! I'm glad to hear that sports are all going well for the boys! I hope Noah can keep showing his stuff for a while.
Your Girls Camp theme sounds pretty cool. We actually just used that scripture in a lesson with a guy, he's worried he's gonna have to do all this stuff after baptism, and we wanted to make sure he knew what "enduring to the end" really means. 2Ne 32 is just a solid scripture overall when it comes to baptism.
Haha I'm glad Father's Day was relaxed. I'd heard about the Thunder going down, apparently they should have destroyed Golden State before, but they blew it, so I didn't really care who actually won. Leave it to the Thunder to drop a 3-1 lead. Speaking of which, I found a source that gives me a bunch of NBA updates. He's teaching me a bunch of basketball slang in Polish, too haha.
So as for our week, we were plenty busy ourselves. We had quite a few lessons, so making time for end of transfer preparations was pretty tough, but we managed to get everything done, even cleaning the bathroom. We celebrated Elder Einfeldt's birthday in style, by initiating the "Kebabów Challenge". Polish grammar is a nightmare, you already know that, but pluralizing a word is very tricky. There's a different way to do it depending on if the noun is masculine, feminine, Masculine personal, or neutral. Then depending on if you are trying to say 1, 2-4, or 5+, it can all change too. So if you have more than 5 of something, you have to put it in the Genetive plural case. Meaning we ate 5 kebabs. That's kinda like eating 5 Chipotle burritos in a day. It was rough, but worth it.
We also took Culture Night this week! We went on a gondola tour of the city. Well, it was more of a ski lift, but still really cool. It's right by this super huge, pretty park, so the scenery was nice. It rained though, so we got a little wet.
So, sorry to keep you waiting, transfers! We were carrying suitcases all day, and it was pouring, so I was drenched. It was pretty unfortunate timing haha. But, I'll be staying in Kato! No more ZL duties, but I'm going to be District Leader again. That's an easy one. This one was a surprise, I'll be serving with Elder Park again! Haha, I wasn't expecting it, but it should be awesome. He'll be going home at the end of the transfer, and I'll be coming up on year mark! Crazy stuff! Elder Einfeldt is going to be serving in Kraków, so I gave him some advice and told him what to expect and everything. This should be a really fun transfer.
Only thing is we don't have Zone Training this time around, so I don't know if I'm gonna get any bday stuff for a while, but that's fine. The wait will make it more fun anyways.
But that's it for me this week! Love you a ton Mom, and good luck at Girls Camp!

June 12th 2016

Hey Mom!
Sounds like you guys have had a really busy week! I'm glad Noah is doing well with varsity, getting some playing time already is a good sign, he can get used to working with the new team early. If both boys are going to be multi sport athletes all summer, it sounds like no one gets a summer break this year! I guess it's kind of a bummer that Luke isn't happy with his game right now, but he can sleep it off at Carp. I remember Junior year our first loss of the season was the day we went to Carp. It made it a little easier to bear:)
If you're headed to girls camp this week, and it's anything like year's past, I'm guessing the house is full of random stuff as usual. You're probably pretty excited though.
I hope everything goes well with getting a new boat! It's still kinda sad though. I was talking to Elder Einfeldt about it cause his family goes every year too, and he said it wouldn't be too bad if we picked up a monster of a boat, but it's still weird that it won't be the Golden Eagle. We had a lot of memories on that boat.
So, the mission is going well, as usual. We had a crazy week. We brought the Kielce elders in for some training, and had an awesome exchange. Right now, we're meeting with that dude that came to church, and he's making great progress. We've got 2 more lessons set up with him this week, and the District President should be coming to help. Then there was that Ukrainian dude from the beginning of the transfer, well we hadn't seen him for about a month and a half, but he showed up to church this week! We had a meeting with him, helped him write a resume, and then reset his B-date! That was a miracle. This week we've got a bunch of lessons set up already, which is good, because it's the last week of the transfer, and it's always good to keep busy coming to the end of things!
You were asking about investigators from other cities. Right now, there's an investigator from the Krak that has a date, and he knows that the Book of Mormon is true, so that's awesome. Then the girls from Wrocław are still going to church. We'll see how things go for them.
Another miracle for the week: I have a bunch of songs recorded on the keyboard now, so I no longer have to play in sacrament meeting! Score!
Funny story, the other night we were tracting and sometimes we'll do it in really big apartment complexes. We were ringing a numer, and we said our usual spiel, and this WAY old lady is like, "I will kill you," in her cute grandma voice. "I am ready for you already, I am armed, what do you want from me?" So I told her what I already said, that we were missionaries from the Church, and we wanted to talk about Jesus, and she's like, "Come in at your own risk, I... I need medical help." Needless to say, we did not come in, in fact, we left the building, but it was pretty darn funny. Ja pana zabiję. Chodź tu i poczęstuj się czastkami!
So anyways, I think that's it for this week, but just as a reminder, since the new transfer starts next week, we probably won't be able to email until next Tuesday! I'm not even gonna guess where I'm going, or even hope for anything!
Love you a ton Mom!

June 6th 2016

Hey Mom!
Sounds like a pretty crazy week for sports at the Hasketts, haha. The boys are gonna love the Junior Classic though. That's my favorite tournament. Except for maybe that Saturday, it's always super long. Last year I was barely even blocking by the end of the game, but hitting was fun, cause everyone else was too exhausted to try.
Kinda cool you guys fed a missionary that's about to go home. He was probably rocked. It's always fun to talk to the guys here who are on their way out. We've got another transfer coming up in a couple weeks, so a few more will go home. Also a former missionary came and visited us this week. The elder formerly known as Elder Hon, now Hunter, hooked it up with some Reeses and Cool Ranch Doritos, and also played in my stead for Sacrament meeting. It was nice haha.
School's out already, that's crazy. Time's really flown. It seems like we're both gonna enjoy our summer breaks though. You guys have got some trips planned, and I get 3 months off from snow. Unfortunately I don't get a break from rain, it still rains all the time now. Kinda reminds me of Hawaii. It's pretty much always warm, but wet and humid.
Weird news from this week: one of the sisters at Zone Conference said I was "getting so tan". I told her that was the first time I'd ever heard that in my life. I don't believe her, but if she was right, that's cool I guess.
Speaking of Zone Conference, it was awesome! It was President and Sister Edgren's last one, so it was pretty special just for that, but we had a pretty good training, and then everybody in the zone got to bear their testimonies. The Edgrens went out in style. They dropped spiritual bombs on us, and then got everyone their own copies of the hymnbooks. Poland just got real, green hymnbooks, they're awesome. The food you saw was teriyaki chicken, specially prepared by the Daltons. Very tasty.
THE GOLDEN EAGLE SANK?????? That's insane, that's like the best trip ever, almost literally down the drain. Hopefully things work out, and we'll be set for another trip when I get home! I guess the bright side of all this is that I don't have to see pics of all you guys at Lake Powell without me!
So anyways, I guess I can sum up my week real quick. We had a sweet exchange with Elder Blunt, found a few new people that said they'd be willing to meet with us. Then there was Zone Conference, already talked a little about that. Somehow Veggie Tales came up while we were there, and another one of the missionaries new about Barbara Manatee and the Cheeseburger song. Legendary. The rest of the week was a lot of finding. We had the guy from last week come to church again too. That was awesome, and we're gonna meet with him and a member a couple times this week! Wish us luck there!
Some other good news, I've been on a real language grind this week. Most of the missionaries study Fiszki, which means flashcards, but there's a good program called Fiszki that has like 2000 cards in a box, and they're all organized by importance and use in daily speech. I started the 3rd box this week, and I'm actually enjoying studying Polish again, which is rare haha. Killin the Polish game.
I just had a good idea for a birthday present finally. Lemonade mix. Lemonade literally doesn't exist here, and Elder Einfeldt and I have been cravin it.
I think that's it from me though. Love you tons Mom!
